Sweet Tooth Fan Prop (For a indie game fan project)

Textured this Sweet Tooth RC game asset for a buddy that plans on making a Twisted Metal fan game...told him he should call it Bent Alloy or something along those lines. Materials were created using Substance Painter. I plan on making an explainer video going over the process in the coming weeks.

I've been working on the main environment for my Robot/Bug scene and I wanted to have some sort of space craft prop at which the robot travels in. I wanted to seem like the robot crashed, so I decided to make it more of an escape pod that then slides across the sand dunes. I want to keep the robot and escape pod in a style that would convey humans crafted these, but still unknown as non are in sight.

So I'm at a fairly good stopping point on "Robot" , as I need to wrap up the other sections of my scene. I more than likely will come back and get a fresh set of eyes on this piece once I'm wrapping up the large workload areas. Thus far I've enjoyed the work on this prop the most, mainly because the internet is full of awesome reference and inspirational material. I also learned tons of new fancy tricks for Substance Painter. Below are some of the artists I found searching images of concept and art.

So I've started early work on two other assets for the scene. One being the landscape in Unreal using a heightmap I created and the other being a crashed robot on said environment. I'm working on refining the textures for both at the same time, to make sure the scene feels cohesive. Mainly using Substance Painter and World Creator for these.

Finished out the re-topology with a mix of Zbrush zRemesher and quad draw in Maya. I had some issues on the shell area, as the sharp areas don't play too nice in Maya. I then moved to Substance Painter to bake and create textures, which turned out much better than expected. I tried to use all the new bells and whistles the new Substance Painter has since I've last used it (subsurface scattering, displacement, etc). In all this project is coming along nice and look forward to posting more. All images rendered in Substance Painter and the below image is a test in Unreal Engine 4.24.
